Starting a 2021 Group Buy for the Vincebar. In this group buy, Vince at Practical Performance RnD is offering the “Simplified” Weld-in and “Simplified” Epoxy/Rivet version of the Vincebar. The Vincebar is designed to reinforce the topside of the RACP on the E46 coupe, sedan and touring chassis.

Yeah, only the "simplified" versions are available for the GB as of now.

Of course you guys run this now, I just got my epoxy/rivet kit a couple weeks ago! It's a great piece, haven't installed it yet but it looks great.

I don't have facebook and am having trouble getting an answer to this question off the page, perhaps you guys can help me with this. How significant is the difference between the stealth and "simplified" versions? My main concern is retaining as much space within the trunk as possible after installation. With that as a goal, would it be a reasonable bet to try and hold off for another run of stealth bars?

Both "simplified" and "stealth" are hidden below the trunk floor mat, so neither can be seen when installed with the floor mat in place and you still retain all the trunk space. The "simplified" is a slightly stronger bar than the "stealth" even though both work just fine. It also looks like it is a bit easier for Vince to manufacture the "simplified" version, which is why I am thinking those are the only options available in the GB. I believe the last GB was in 2017, so they don't happen often.

Got it, thanks for the clarification! I'm interested, although I need to determine where i'll get this installed in my area and whether or not they're willing/able to do the weld in kit vs the epoxy/rivot as this is beyond my capabilities.

A couple months back I was messaging with Vince about this, and at the time the front cups (included in this group buy from the pictures) were not convertible compatible. He still needed a donor convertible to design something, but you could also just use the bar and strengthen that area.
