Best video of the CSL I have seen. Dude looks like James May's long lost cousin! And that diffuser shot at 17:49...puts to shame any aftermarket piece I have seen before. Really makes me wan to keep the car a get it dialed in.

I never really wanted to change the rear end ratio until watching that.

After watching a few G80 reviews the past few days, I am reminded just how much more I prefer the E46 M3 yet again after watching this.

They’re kind of unrelated at this point.

It's so aggravating to think about. While I agree with BMW and don't think there is a big market for a high strung coupe based on a sedan (M4/M3) and that those cars really do demand massive torque/hp there is a market for an exclusive coupe (call it the M???) with a 4 liter ITB equipped inline 6 and a curb weight around 3000lbs. An engine that size would be pushing over 500hp and it's what porsche is doing with the GT3 and no reason it can't work here (they even have ITB's on the new one, it's probably goin to make everyone forget about the aircooled whatsamacallits).

This is great incentive for anybody still putting off getting a CSL airbox.
Waaay cheaper than half a McLaren F1

Harry’s a legend, while some of videos can be quite long and sometimes boring - this is one of his best.

BMW has plateforme’d everything and is building cars off the shelf these days until the market goes full electrification.

The M brand is on a collision course with the I brand and I’m afraid we all know who’s going to be winning this one.

Exactly, Its a sad fact that i dont even think of current generations as anything remotely resembling the M3 I fell in love with. Might as well be a different brand

Our dealership had a new M3 on sale for 10 minutes. It sold immediately. Yet there's a garage kept 55k 2006 Alpine White vert for sale in the back and no one has even inquired on it in weeks. It's sad because it's probably going to wholesale.

Did ride height look aftermarket to anyone or just me? OE CSL was ~15mm lower (I think?) but in the intro I'd peg it a bit more vs stock... maybe just my eyes...

I think it depends on the angle of the camera.
I photo documented my car from stock suspension to Bilstein B12 to koni/eibach. Two pictures of the latter set up without moving the car but changing the height of the camera could make the ride height look 1/2" different in height.

The RF fender looks like it got painted. :/ Otherwise, this is now God's Chariot IMO
