No, have you seen the prices for E30 of any kind lately? Seems accurate.

E30s are so hot right now. Why pay $50k for an m3 when you can get a 325i for $8k and build it up? I think that's what's going through people's minds.

It says 1998* instead of 1988*

It’s must be 88 (or 89 or whatever 80’s that group is in). In that case I would say accurate.

E46 definitely seems to be quickly hitting classic status. I finally went to get my second airbag recall done today at one of the local dealers and the reactions of the employees were crazy. Pointing and looking, and a couple guys chatted with me about it for about a half hour. They send a video now of their free inspection and recommendations and the tech in it was very excited about the car. The first time I got the recall done in 2018, it was crickets ... just another old BMW that nobody cares about.

The more BMW sells crap like the G80, the better our cars look. Thank you BMW for making my old BMW worth more.

On hagertys web site a 2006 ZCP 6MT in good condition is valued at $40,000, I remember seeing e46 M3 for sale 10 or so years ago going for $36,000 but this is fantastic news for all of us.

Oh, I see - didn't even notice. Should be 1989.

Meh, it’s kind of annoying news to me. The car is a keeper for me so the value doesn’t mean much ... except for the fact that it makes me anxious to drive and track it because it will be that much more expensive and difficult to replace if an idiot (myself included) wrecks it.

I recently bought a new Miata to serve as both daily driver and casual non-modified track car. Should be harder to get in trouble with, still a ton of fun and saves the E46 for special occasions.

this was exactly my experience last summer. One of the lot kids (high school age) was drooling over it and asked if he could take a video of it. I told him to go right ahead, which was funny to me because I had just graduated when the car was released and was doing the same thing over my baseball coach's Laguna Seca Blue.

I understand the sentiment that for those of us that plan to keep it forever, it really just causes problems. I'm one of those people that plans to keep it, but if the value ends up high enough where I can kinda swap it for a GT3, that will be hard to resist. It's the same as my property value going up, I don't plan to move so all that does is make me pay more in taxes.

No mention of E39 M5 on that list? that is surprising because at Enthusiast Auto they have become 100k-200k cars all day long. last time I checked they had SEVERAL in the 80k-200k range. you can't even get one from them for 60k anymore. dead serious
