Yea, these were my thoughts in regards to down the line, maybe 10-15 years from now. I would imagine originality would be valued more than mods that are currently in style.

In the long run, all original always wins... this car (E46M) isn’t going to change that... the changing times, technology and preferences may modify it somewhat to excepts some mods and not others (mainly software and stereos)... but original will always command premiums, as will rare interior colors, coupes over sedans, convertibles over hard tops... it just is what it is... no need to fight the power on this one... in the short run, the E46M has been defying SOME of those trends (convertibles over hard tops)... but one look at the convertibles with hard tops included tells you not to bet on that long term... people will always value the ability to drop the top... period, end of story... none of these heavily modded track rats will command premiums in the future... we should know that before we mod them, and by far most of us do.
