Totally agree on all points. Inferior cats aren’t worth it either as I found by trying the Magnaflow’s once.

If I could give my $0.02...well worth it to do the whole system now. It’s possibly the best pricing you’ll get and you’re already doing the exhaust work so there will some efficiencies to you or the installer. There is a cams group buy in the pipeline so you could stand to benefit by waiting.

I want to continue my 2.5" as well (stock section 2) but worry without cams it might rob power and/or quiet my exhaust down too much.
I think it's more or less been unofficially decided that unless you have airbox and cams the full 2.5" isn't the way to go. I'll probably never do the cams, although I never thought I would do the airbox either for that matter.

Some feedback: the cats are well worth it. For around $3k for headers with the high quality 2.5” HJS piece, you’d have to be pretty special to pay retail just to avoid buying the cats for well under $1k extra. I ran catless for a few months shortly after I bought the car (came that way from the PO) and it felt like a cheap lawnmower smelling POS. It was embarrassing honestly. I’ve had the catted V1 setup since the 50% off group buy 3-4 years back (only marginally cheaper than this) … makes more power now and doesn’t ruin my interior and clothes. Car has enough power on the track and too much on the street.

Im having a hard time holding off on completing the system with the 2.5” section 2 and street muffler but I want cams and a CF roof more.

Wait, you paid basically the same amount of money for retail V1s and uncatted section 1 than what you would have paid for V1s and cats in the group buy? Instead of splitting the headers and cats with someone who just wanted cats and paying half of what you did? That's hilarious.

I didn't explain that well. The committed buyers would be aggregated on Euroconnex. That's the value of the group buy to the vendor, I'm guessing. However many XX buyers ready to go. Once the programmed threshold is met then completion of checkout enabled via connection (connex?) to the vendor's site.

I am actually reinvesting the little that is made into a marketplace payment solution with Stripe.

It will allow members to checkout and pay the brands directly via the Connex.

It’s still about 30-60 days out.

This will absolutely streamline the process for future group buys.

Epoustouflant idea just occurred to me - I wonder if on future group buys, with a vendor like ECS, the Euroconnex link to purchase the item(s) could take you to pre-populated shopping cart with pre-populated discount code on that vendor's site. Skips the administrative burden of invoicing and theoretically gets it in the normal order queue of the vendor. Obviously the only path to this checkout process is through your website.
