Timeframes don't exist with ECS. Just gotta be patient

So the negotiations take as long as their delivery?! I kid, I kid.

Wish there were better options than ECS. Really don’t like putting money into their pocket. But if the price is right...

Was about to pull the trigger on as set of Bimmerworld's CP stepped headers but will wait on pricing here.

I can’t believe people are still buying those.

I remember there was a thread on the old forum that said there were dyno graphs showing loss of torque in certain areas with the cpi single step that was alarming. I just sifted through pages on the z4m forum and it looks like that info was probably lost on m3forum.net.

Yeah— they make worse than stock power at low/mid range and unexceptional power on the top end. And made in China. But “stepped” is in the name, so somehow they get equated to supersprint.

Maybe interested but I am worried about quality. I used to have SS stepped headers in 2012, they were amazing. My brother bought a set in 2020, the quality was shit. First set was returned and he is still unhappy with second set.

Can someone confirm this? Is the quality concern bleed into poor performance?

I don’t think performance is effected, I would/will still get a set but they used to be better.

I think quality applies more to fit and ease of lining things up while installing.

I don't think it bleeds into performance. Me being the recipient of that header that my brother is talking about, I don't think should be drilling the correct hole for a EGT sensor for something that expensive. That shit was offset by a quarter inch.
