I see. So it's mainly used on Freescale (became NXP I think) MCU only, as all other MCU, including STM32, are using JTAG or a derivative of it.
Interesting that BDM only needs one pin for bidirectional data, similar to I2C serial bus.
But, why do people need BDM controller to program the flash memory (and not talking with the MCU)?
