    Power Supply Amperage

Finally getting around to getting my laptop set up for coding, and I've had issues running down my battery too quickly. It's probably not an issue since I got a new battery, but for peace of mind I've been thinking about getting a bench power supply I can hook up to the battery while I'm working on things.

Looking at a 12v RV power supply, but it's available in 35a, 45a, 75a, and 100a. Thinking 75 will be more than enough, but if 45 or 35 would be 'safer' for the electronics I'd go that route.

Anyone have experience with this? Am I nuts?

35A would be overkill for your application, but it would certainly work.
