So if I understand this correctly, there is no way (by design) to change the mileage on a used cluster via the usual programming methods. Instead, what you need to do is program the EEPROM directly.
Is it also possible to just do a straight EEPROM swap? I've been wanting to get a later model cluster to mess around with (I have a 22h one) and was wondering if I could just replace the EEPROM in whatever cluster I get (will probably look for a 24h one) with the chip out of mine.
Anyone know if this will work?
