Finally after 3 years I have the car handling close to how I want it! This was after talking to a fellow instructor from the Windy City chapter and making a trip to Doghouse Performance located at MSR Cresson.
Big changes were wavetrac diff, 1500lb rear springs, and a proper doghouse alignment, at which point they recommended I drop my MCS canister pressure to 170psi. Car was amazing but had a bit too much roll so they suggested taking the front canisters to 180, which fixed the issue.
Anyway here's the video of a few laps

Do you normally run with Driver's Edge? I normally do the 3.1 but I've got too many events coming up. I saw it coming, I was working on carrying speed through T5 and then coming into T6 if I don't plan my downshifts with my brake input properly it upsets the car and looses grip. I didn't want to go off side ways so I just committed to going for a ride 😅Originally posted by bigjae46 View Post

1500 sounds high but with math it's actually a 653lb spring. The spring sits 2/3 the way out on the control arm that the shock does so it's 2/3 the spring rate, then the spring only compresses 2/3 what the shock does, so it's 2/3 of that.
1500x.66=990
990x.66=653
I know it sounds crazy but try it and you won't be disappointed. Or I should say try to match your front spring
My front is 750 so I may actually go higher in the rear

This is very interesting. I tried 1100lb, and the rear was a pogo stick, even with significant rebound (no aero). Where is your rear rebound set? I'm guessing you are not running a rear sway?Originally posted by Wernd View Post

Are you attempting to reach a "flat ride" approach where the rear bounce frequency is higher than the front? And a high front roll couple %?
You may also be able to approximate a higher spring rate by upping the canister pressure. I believe MCS canisters can go up to 275psi, could try raising yours a bit.

I'm aware of the flat ride idea but it's above me honestly.
Stock front bar (I think I need the bimmerworld bar which will fit with their splitter)
No rear bar
I run the suggested by bimmerworld settings for my MCS coils. With the 1500 spring MCS recommended adding at minimum 4 clicks of rebound to the rear.
Honestly after the doghouse alignment the car felt almost perfect, it was rear limited but felt artificially low. So doghouse recommended lowering the canister pressures from 205 to 170. After driving that I was pulling 1.39 and 1.41g on a basically full interior and Re71rs tires. The car felt amazing but a bit too much roll so DH suggested adding 10psi to the front cans. After doing that the car felt almost perfect and I wanted to be done tuning and just drive.
My rear doesn't feel too stiff or anything like a pogo BTW

Finally getting around to uploading a few videos from last year - here's my latest attempt at Autobahn Country Club - South Circuit.
Pretty happy with getting into the 33s, but there's definitely more time in it.
Car was like skipping and bouncing the whole weekend, and i just couldn't solve it with damping and compression changes....you can see it very clearly in Turn 8, completely upsets the car at the apex and on exit. Also meant that i couldn't hit the curbs like normal.
Turns out that one of my rear shocks had lost all gas pressure....
