Works well with either Karb intake with the US bumper, too bad they stopped making them.

I run one and it sure seems like a good way to introduce cooler air into the intake, even a stock intake for that matter.

Would this provide any benefit for a Turner intake? while it wouldn't directly pump cool air into the 'turner hole,' it would at least get it into the general vicinity.

They tend to keep them for CSL intakes. Since the scoop protrudes the mounting point in the brake duct, it is easy to route some brake duct tubing up to a CSL style snorkel and feed cold air to the intake. With this setup, you can feel cold air being pushed into the snorkel if you point a small fan at the scoop. It will not have quite the ram air effect the factory CSL ducting has due to the air having to take a 90 angle up to the scoop, but it is better than no air ducting at all.
