Your camera is crap compared to the new ones. Durability is crap compared to the new ones. Increasingly software won't run because you're off the current iOS. Screen size relative to the size of the device is crap.

thanks for the little nudge....just ordered an iphone 12. Verizon just gave me a $699 credit towards an iphone 12 (for my old phone).

btw for those of you who have installed this, does your case get in the way of charging your phone?

I held on to my 5s until last November. Mine could barely hold a charge anymore. I’m surprised yours is still running lol

How did you score that? I have a 6 that I upgraded to an 8 last year and Verizon only offered me $199. And it was 128 GB. I kept it and use it as an iPod instead.

I haven’t installed this but I do use an otterbox defender case which has a rubber jacket over thick plastic and still works on wireless charging pads. But ultimately, I would guess it would depend on the case

i got it thru Verizon directly. I just called customer service and did everything over the phone

I just got an iOS update today on my beater iPhone 6 with shared data only. I keep the phone in the car as a GPS locater for my car. The phone is not worth anything, but as a GPS locator w/o an active lo-jack like subscription, that's worth something. If I had CarPlay, it's that much more convenient.

Just installed one in the M3 wagon, as I have a 250 mile drive in it tomorrow and it'll make the Wireless CarPlay all the more pleasant.

So far, at least in night time, the finish is close enough that I don't think I'm going to be compelled to have it redone. We'll see how I feel when the sun shines on it...

Without the spacer, it's perfectly sized for a Max sized iPhone with case :P

AirTags will probably be better at that purpose, shortly, with GPS access even when you're not near to share data (and no need to pay for more data, either).

If Anyone does not like the raw finish on the plastic we recommend using SEM Bumper coater Honda black. Above is a picture of the color. It’s a little more black. We use it on the e9x/E8x applications and it works well. Also no adhesion promoter is required and sprays very easily.
