    My thoughts to!!

My CSL is very clean, I’ve had it a long time & looked after it, every time I have it at Simpson Motorsport they remark (unprompted) how clean it is partially underneath, which reassures me that mine is a good one.

However I’m at a point where I’m between a rock & a hard place, I don’t want to drive it any longer in fear of devaluing it in some way & I like to drive it & properly drive it, I don’t get any kick out of a quick Sunday afternoon drive up to the coast.

So I feel more like a historian/collector than a car enthusiast & all summer I’ve been thinking of selling due to this & going down the line of a similar thread on here at the moment, stripping out a E92, cage, seats, harness, suspension, brakes etc.

The way the CSL market is at the moment (if they’re selling) I could do that & put money in the bank, but I don’t want to sell it & if I did & later regretted doing so where would I go to get another in the same condition & one I know the history of like my own.

You do a good job of cleaning as it never looks like a daily car

.. but prices going up is a double edged sword for those of us who bought them to drive .... focussing on their value & 'what if it drops if I add mileage' removes the pleasure . Having had mileage sensitive porsches in the past , I was determined to get a CSL I could drive & enjoy .. 62K miles & increasing

Gone through a similar situation with my 1973 Porsche .... gone up to daft levels over the last 10 years .... but after much thought realised what makes me smile is driving ... so still keep on driving it , doing european tours etc, adding the miles & adding the patina , if I didn't whats the point of having the car ?

If you want an investment, find a good financial advisor.

A few grand in the bank will never compensate for not driving these cars.

Spot on gents  Get out there and motor On :supz:
Mines @ 89K something, about to turn 90K :-D and it's in as good as (if not better) condition then when I bought it 4 years ago with 60ish K on the clock.
Still puts a :-D on my face, every outing :supz:

Agree with what Matt says - unless your car is less than 25k miles it should be enjoyed and driven when you want to drive.

After all, it's costing you road tax, servicing, insurance and possibly warranty.
