Bad luck mate:banghead:.Have you tried phoning the warranty and telling them you know its a common fault with CSLs and that your clutch plate is not below the limit.

Certainly not, unless you are desperate for the car.

          Ring BMW if they won't

It's BMW Bavarian in Belfast that have my car. I'm not desperate for the car, I'd just like the issue to be sorted out. If the clutch was worn out I'd have no problem paying for the cost of the replacement.

Ring BMW Uk then is what I meant (I presume they look after NI?)

Tell them at customer service (find the right guy to speak to- not Mondial initially) that you are aware of the lower limit for wear and you are above it and you are aware of an issue with SMG were Adaption to clutch wear is not perfect and can cause slip before the clutch is finished and you want BMW to pay but dealer not helping.

I'm pretty sure they will offer you goodwill if no warranty which will lessen the bill

Just on this now, MKoop call and speak to Niall - no one else.
Niall will be honest and if there is any way he can help he will, if he says it wont be covered then leave it at that.
Trust me he knows his stuff and is friends with several members on this board.

Chris, I have spoken to Niall about my issue on Tuesday but will not cover it under warranty. He seems to know his stuff but not in relation to clutch slur!

I know where NOT to take mine for Clutch replacement now. Then again, The Country Garage in Ballymena weren't too keen in entertaining a new clutch when I 'gently' enquired about it back in October. :bigcry:

Going to call Elms tomorrow, I am getting terrible clutch slur on every shift from 2nd upwards...really starting to spoil the car

Gareth from elms has suggested reprogramming the clutch, is there anyway I can go straight for a new clutch and flywheel? My car is under warranty, has 46k on the clock and had a new gearbox @ 26k (so assuming the clutch would have been changed at this point too).

                              Thanks

                              Slurring of Stamford.

Warranty will tell them to try reset first. Then you may get a new clutch and flywheel if this fails. Did with mine anyway.
