            I'm confused by your post.

            Did you read this thread?

Read every post, and I would encourage you to do the same. You did not even understand the question -- does the E34 M5 clutch fit the JBR midweight flywheel. In your mind, the OP was asking for your opinion on his proposed clutch, not whether it fit or not. Despite 4 pages, no one really tried to answer his question.

In general, people just dumped on the OP for asking a question they thought was stupid. He got the prices wrong, why would he want to do this (what business is it of yours), it would be a frankenstein clutch (so was the M5 one when it came out), he should just use a stock clutch because it is all he needs (regardless of what he wants), his proposed clutch weighs too much (even though it would weigh less than stock), plus totally useless sarcastic comments from you (about chinese coilovers).

Please see the below quote of the OP.

I assume the combined weight of this kit would be similar to that of the stock e36 m3 as it is my understanding the e34 m5 clutch disk and pressure plate are slightly heavier than the m3's factory unit. Is there any reason why this may not work or wouldn't be recommended? What am I missing? My car is stock with the exception of a catback exhaust. It is my daily driver, but I do intend to do a few trackday/autox events here and there.

                Thanks for any input.

Indeed. I learned why the OE clutch and flywheel will always be perfectly suitable for my needs.

For whats it worth Im about to install a e36 m3 pressure plate with a e34 m5 disk flipped over in a F1 aluminum flywheel. Basically the same set up the OP is talking about but with a lighter flywheel

                            why?

F1 FW was in the car when I bought it, has less than 10k miles on it

I am tired of gear chatter

I am replacing the transmission, seems like good time

Instead of making a useless and unfriendly post directed at the one person in this thread who could actually answer the OP's clutch question, you could have spent a very minimal amount of time learning this about the transmission change:

                                http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=461069

Alternatively, you could have simply asked politely why he was replacing the transmission.

If your goal is to drive away other people so the very small club of active users can continue chatting with each other, you are doing a good job. Those who come for help or actually try to help don't care for this sort of behavior.
