I prefer the hyper silver tbh. Same colour on the 260M's I have on my E46.

EDIT: just checked, the colour is actually reflex silver not hyper silver.

Nice, first impressions? I take it you have driven these in the past as well. Seems like a DCT sedan would be a great daily in CA. I wish I would have held out for an M and not gotten a shit bucket 335i, that V8 is pretty badass, oh well.

Thanks. I had a sedan e36 in 2003-2009 and loved it, and how stiff the cassis was (for e36). I've really stiffened up my E46, but I love how rigid this E90 is out of the box. Having 4 doors again is great. Took the family out all day on Sunday.

The drivetrain is amazing. DCT is incredible, and it is nice, at my age now, to not have to clutch in/out all the time, though I do have to own a manual as well. There are times I wish I had control of the clutch, but it's low speed stuff, like first/second gear.

The lack of torque is not an issue if you "keep it on the pipe" like I used to have to with my 125cc dirtbikes years ago. I'll do some light mods, but as-is, it's already a super saloon.

I'm also very happy with the way the PO specc'd the car. I have a lot good options, but I'm optionless or lower optioned where I wanted to be (sunroof/stereo).

I'll make a journal soon and post the vin decode info and carfax, and more thoughts etc...

We moved recently and I finally had time to wash both my cars and grab some phone pictures. There goes the neighborhood 🤐

Probably my favorite angle on the E46 M3:

Cage, harnesses, CF doorcards, CSL airbox will all be going in soon. Interior has been stripped out and waiting for months. "Ringtool" inspired build continues 🤣

Man, the CSL bootlid is such a great aesthetic upgrade. Someday I'll get to do it.
