    Eventuri Carbon Intake

Since I live in California, my dream of installing a CSL intake has been crushed. What’s your opinion on Eventuri carbon intake? Is it worth it?

Is it still every two years? Based from what I’ve heard from the guy who smog-checked my previous car February 2021 that it’ll be checked yearly instead of every two years. I hope that’s not true.

I would send it and go CSL. Doesn’t take too long to swap the parts.

As far as I know, it's two years. I need to go in for smog soon, so we'll see what the paperwork and smog place say.

Intake in awesome. Great sound and noticeable performance. CSL box definitely louder.

IMO if you’re gonna be doing any sort of engine modification past legal boundaries then it’s either an all in or don’t bother sort of thing. I just think it would be a pain in the ass if you had to revert everything back to stock if your car is heavily modified and then put it all back together every two years. And yeah it’s only every two years but still annoying. Either intake isn’t gonna pass inspection, but the Eventuri will be easier to revert back to stock when the time comes.

Eh, I have the Evolve CF CSL intake and I have no qualms going that route. I mean I'm also running euro headers too, so it'll take some effort in reverting all this back to pass inspection, but it is what it is. I'd have to swap headers, intake, and pull the ECU out of storage to go back to my previous setup. But it's the game we play...

Props to you Cali guys for the dedication. No emissions check here in PA outside the cities.

Buildjournal has a few write ups about stock vs Eventuri and CSL box, read those and see if it's worth the trouble. The Eventuri intake is not CARB legal so you'll have to swap that out for smog. Does anyone make an air scoop like the Eventuri one that you can buy on its own?

There are decent eBay replicas of the scoop.

I gotcha, but personally I'd rather not give my money to counterfeiters and rather support the original maker of the part.

Many states are taking in new residents. Idaho is super nice this time of year
The eventuri intake is basically the best MAFed intake. I read it makes a cool noise. The power numbers seem to be above 0

The eBay ones are good ole chinesium derived plastic the was poorly 3D printed on a chinese 3D printer. The reviews are pretty bad.

                              ^ Yep all this.
Especially one being an easy swap back to stock for test while the other a lot more work.
