This piece for E46? If they’re selling it in pieces that doesn’t sound like this brace. If so would love to see it.

FWIW I've heard of one or two of them cracking - which at that point it becomes a very expensive paperweight. Definitely looks cool and a rare part but just something to keep in mind.

Yes they crack more often than stock. Only for wall art.

Beautiful strut bar but they are hollow inside and do crack. 😳

You see them for sale now and then, they're really expensive (over $1000) and probably not worth it (see above). They are really pretty though. DMG and Rogue both make a really nice strut bar for 1/4 the price.

No I’d say they are about the same. I have had two factory M3 bars and this BMW Performance from BMW.

In my 30 years owning BMWs this is the lightest and best looking brace I’ve seen (imho). *There are however better designs for a track cars. Those are more a frame brace.

As for being hollow, that’s not uncommon. Most braces are. The Benfer Quatro carbon fiber (probably the second best looking brace I’ve ever seen) and Radenergie carbon fiber braces were also hollow. Both also NLA.

The current prices for the BMW Performance brace are like other unique factory BMW parts NLA imho. List new was $1200 and limited quantity. Supply and demand. Nothing new about that. Just look at CSL parts.
