It's best to create a new thread with detail information for your case and we will try to help.

Big old thread revival here, can't believe it's been nearly 4 years since I started this journey and almost 3 years since the car has run!

Since I first wrote this thread I have changed all the appropriate springs, there was a broken spring behind the blind plug. I am adament that I put the roller pin back in vertically. I replaced the GPS with a brand new unit from Burkhart. I replaced the salmon relay with a new one.

I ran adaptation in INPA yesterday,
        - The car is on stands but is level
        - Doors, hood and boot were closed
        - Handbrake was off
        - Codes cleared
        - Car was cold
        - Battery was charged and on a charger

It passed the bleed actuator and bleed clutch first go. It failed the complete adaption at the same point probably half a dozen times - after the first cycle through gears 6th through 1st then reverse, then it would select 5th and fail. I got 2 error status':
        - Shift too far out
        - Switching travel too far out.

Fault code after failing is 83 Gearbox adaptation.

I am looking for a new knuckle, in the off chance that might be a reason for the failure.

I've attached the adaption values and adaption result.

        Any ideas?

Might want to keep bleeding it. Sometimes it takes forever.

Why do you need to bleed the system if only replaced the roller pin / spring on the main shift rod?

I don't understand why or how bleeding the system will fix the adaptation issue when I haven't opened any of the wet/pressure systems?

Is there anything in the adaptation values that stands out to anyone?

I did a direct comparison with mine and nothing seems odd.

                  Thanks oceanside.

I cleared the codes and ran the car today. It will engage 1st and reverse, but when selecting 2nd it flashes and returns to 1st, throwing the cog.

Read the codes, 48 - gear cannot be engaged. Cleared them and ran just the complete adaption (F3) again whilst everything was at operating temp and it failed at the same point with the same error.

What are the chances this could be the roller pin not installed vertically?
What are the chances the brand new GPS is faulty or installed incorrectly?
Could this still be the knuckle?

Any other thoughts as to what this might be?

Unfortunately everything you listed is a possibility. I think it is least likely, but yes possible, that your brand new GPS is faulty. I'm leaning towards the actuator being the problem, see this post.

I replaced all the springs, so 5 of them in total. 4 were good and the one behind the blind plug was broken in 3 pieces. I ran adaptations once through from the start including the actuator and clutch bleed and the rest I've just done the final adaption.

Before I go out and replace the actuator I'll recheck all the springs, GPS and wait on the arrival of the knuckle.

                      Thanks again for the help!

OP I have an actuator I'll let go for cheap. It's a used unit but worked perfectly on the car before I pulled it.

How many miles on the clutch? Or did you replace the clutch?

Again, the hydraulic pipes and others weren't opened that air got in, so why do you need to bleed the air out?
                            What knuckle?

                              The knuckle is part 9 = 25112229793

I would say it's the shift rod coupling or joint.
