    Agreed, flap is a whole lot of work for negative gain to me.

        TboneM3 and I did an induction run comparison with the Karbonius and Evolve airbox a few years ago too. Mic in the engine bay.

            I didn't realize how much more the evolve box was. I think I would have to go Karb just because of the cost. Does evolve sell just the intake and not the tune?

              They do sell a tune.

                I'm sorry i worded that weird. Do they sell a stand alone Airbox.. on their site it only shows options to buy with a tune. no options to buy the airbox alone.

                    Yes, you can get airbox alone from evolve. At this point in time, I'd probably get a Karb though. I don't think evolve has made any improvements in years unlike Karb. I just really like the evolve shape/style though.

                    IIRC, box was $2250 and tune was $650 from that M3F evolve GB that became permanent after Brexit.

                    I paid $2250 for box, install kit, and tune shipped/no tax in 2017.

                      no appreciable difference in power. the extra oe ducting is primarily built for sound reduction when the flap is closed. all of it is bypassed (and the loud is on) when the flap is open

                            People here love fiddling with their cars but can't take 10 minutes once every two years to swap a box.
