Cleared codes with OBD scanner, now car won't start. HELP!!!

IBorrowed a friend's Foxwell NT530 OBD scanner and ran a scan for codes. Car was running fine before, always started right up. I had a CEL and just wanted to check and clear codes to see what popped back up. I cleared each code and now car turns over once and then dies. The battery is fine, not sure what I may have done wrong. What is my best course of action?

Try giving it some gas you might have an idle issue

            EWS? May need to re-align.

The EWS system is the cars security system, where the key has to transmit a code to the car for it to start. Maybe that is out of sync.

Is this something that can be done with a scan tool?

Not sure if that scan tool can do it, INPA does. What exactly is the car doing? I'm only guessing here.

It turns over like it's going to start then dies immediately

Did you happen to perform any service other than simply reading codes? Did you unplug any sensors by any chance?

Perhaps if you did an oil change you forgot to plug the TPS sensor back in near the the oil filter housing.

Yeah unaligned EWS will do that. Start up normally and then immediately die. Like less than a second between letting go of the key and engine dying.

This is for an x5, but the process is probably very similar for the e46: https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...code-4a63.html

If you can't get the scanner to work, INPA or DIS can do the realign.

I saw something on Youtube about an EWS delete, any experience with that?
