6 months ago Fcp listed a borla catback exhaust for a Mini Cooper S for $14.20. I ordered it and they sent me a screw. They called back a couple days later and said they were going to honor the $14.20 since it was a mistake on their end. Got it in the mail 2 weeks later.

good find, wish it had been for m3 parts 😎. the details on that screw, is messed up by their shipping team as a "Screw You". however, the squeaky wheel got the grease, as they honored the price when you called them out on it.

should i create a "Slickdeals" Thread w/ mandatory pictures of receipt & pix of delivered parts here on nam3forum? it'd make me amazed & probably slightly jelly at ppl's nice scores. it'd be similar to the craigslist finds thread here, but for parts. yet, it'd be more engaging if nice deals were available much more consistently like the sheer quantity of airfare price mistakes at "scott's cheap flights" website.

again, great job by OP by posting the deal, now i'll be actively looking to jump in on another price mistake deal hopefully soon!

I just wanted to leave some personal experience. When scoring a “slick deal” like this one I posted, NEVER call the company you’re ordering from to verify the price. Wait until your order goes through, then give it a day or two if you don’t hear from the company

why? Because this is how the fun gets ruined for the rest of us. Pricing mistakes will get fixed sooner when someone calls to “verify the price is right”

Exactly, never call to "find out" instead just come on here to the forum and let us all know so we can get it too.

I always get a chuckle out of people who think shops are obligated to honor a pricing mistake.

If I were them I'd say sorry and cancel the order.

They definitely are not obligated to carry out the order but larger companies like FCP, ECS/Turner typically do anyway. I got a set of style 260Ms for $100 a corner despite the price quintupling hours after my order. probably depends on the size of the pricing error.

It’s $2052 USD and appears to be another $500 for shipping. So $2552 USD.

Just glad I bought my CSL trunk 11 years ago.

Installed mine today. Spent some time fine tuning the gaps, and got it to where my OCDs are fulfilled. Comparing the Vorsteiner to oem, the oem trunk def has a lot more imperfections in the mold than i expected. Edges are def not as smooth as the Vorsteiner but fits slightly better than Vorsteiner. Not by much though.

Had to dremel a bit of the license plate holes to fit the E9X lights & used clear silicone around the edge of the lights to prevent water from entering

Also had to trim a bit of the backside of the trunk behind the reverse lights...to fit the bulb holders in place (not sure if that was necessary, but couldn't get the holder to clip in all the way without trimming a bit)

I chose not to dremel the square for the tool trunk......and I'm ok with the stock carpet in place.

Trunk to body alignment looks spot on.
Not criticizing, but think you might want to adjust your trunk lights/tail lights.

I think that's the OEM fit of these things, they're always just slightly higher than the body taillights.

yeah i was messing with that and to be honest i wanted the trunk taillights to be centered to the opening. By lowering it down, the gaps around the opening would widen and not be even

you shouldve seen how off my Vorsteiner was. What i come to find out is Silver grey is a tough one to match. Every shop by me wanted to blend into the quarters, but i def didn't want to
