the flimsy plastic CSL door pull is part of the design strategy that contributes to the weight loss. i'll weigh my entire door panel next time it's off but you can literally pick it up with one hand. a stock door panel (especially with the heavier aluminum armrest) is noticeably heavier in comparison

again, not fun to live with, but the weight savings are significant x4

So to ask more than double is wild lol.

CSL's are cool because the internet says it's cool.

And SMG does suck, even on the CSL. Holy shit it was bad lol
Agree to disagree about SMG. Love or hate it is the camps.

I love it and makes for a fun drive experience on the back roads. Around town at slow speed just need to drive a little different is all.

I'm also wondering of how close if the parts were available could someone get to re-creating an American tribute version of a CSL using OEM parts. I know there's no comparison of the original to a copy, which is like Printed copy to the Mona Lisa, but I'm wondeing if anyone here has tried to get their cars as close as possible to an original CSL. I'm sure there are probably some members here, who have modded their cars to the point that they would actually out perform a E46 M3 CSL, but just wondered how close someone could get to the original. The car in this article almost looks exactly like my car, but I know the goodies are underneath and it's about 200 LBS lighter.

Yes there are in the US. Just missing steering wheel and rear glass. Rear seats are questionable but I went off the concept.

Rear glass is also NLA, sadly. That one I'm sure if, as I put considerable effort into trying to source it when I did the roof.

Talking to owners the rear glass was a pain as scratched super easy and not worth it.
