    I think it's great this engine doesn't burn oil. My old M54 used quite a lot of oil.

      My two M54 cars I've owned though ... forget about it. Those ate a quart per 1500 miles. My first one was an absolute beater by the end and I started just changing the filter, figuring I cycled through the oil quick enough. Made it to 180k before I sold it for $1500.

        My S62 is rapidly approaching 200,000 miles. It probably needs valve seals.

          275k. No noticeable oil consumption.

                1st - 1-liter refill between oil changes always right about 1000km before my 7500km oil change
                2nd - never needed to be refiled
                3rd - never needed to be refilled but it's mainly a track car that gets very frequent oil changes.
