If ceratec worked as advertised, which I doubt it does, wouldn't it fill up the crosshatch on the cyclinder walls causing a bit of oil starvation and burning of more oil?

I don't believe it works. Seems like a snake oil to me. Change my mind.

i saw a LM video where they did an oil change where they added LM oil then added ceratec. If ceratec is so good why isnt it already the damn oil. thats why i dont use LM anything its BS

About the only time an additive makes sense is an unusal operating codition like running in. But you'd just buy a dedicated running in oil.

It's just a money making scheme.

I remember a while back Audi was stocking Castrol brand 10w60. Is this still Castrol or did they switch manufacturers?

Mutherphukker I hope they didn't switch to that. I like $9.55 TWS.

I wonder if that still is Castrol, just in Audi branded bottles 🤔

When did you buy that? I went to an Audi dealer a couple months ago and they sold me Castrol bottles. I really hope they're not switching to that.

I'd be shocked if TWS went away. It's almost an institution unto itself.

What might happen when a manufacturer drops it is that Castrol might stop caring about optimizing it for that app. Which, incidentally, is already a possibility for M cars.

I just picked it up yesterday. It came in a sealed box so I didn’t think about it until I got home. I got the surprise when I opened it. If its repacked Castrol I’m good with it. I’m surprised internet searches aren’t pulling up anything.

My 2019 VW Tiguan takes 0w-20 and the first two oil changes the Castrol Professional LL IV FE was available but this last round I received VW labeled bottles and the Castrol was no where to be found. Seems like the Castrol has reappeared in a few places now but I also couldn't determine for sure who produces the VW oil. Most seem to agree it is re-labeled Castrol but I didn't see anything concrete.
