This is true, they did spin after the first change with the twin power stuff. However, given how fubarred the bearing was, how little the crank was damaged and how hard I drove it with the damaged bearing, I think the oil did extremely well. It was coincidental it went out with that oil. When it first started to tick I didn't think it was a bearing (or anything that serious) so I still hit redline a few times and the engine didn't grenade itself, impressive if you ask me.

    oh and hello everyone

LM 10W-60, FCP. If shipping the old oil back is "a little annoying" you might be "a little lazy".

for some reason, and probably a glitch of some sort, LM's website only recommends their 10w60 for cars prior to 2010. look up recommendations for any BMW that calls for 10w60 and it will say "only for <2010". I emailed them to see exactly why?

Whoops, thought the new LM oils were Molygen, they're under a different line: https://www.liqui-moly.us/en/press/p...moly-4402.html

Fun fact I just found out. The only ones that recommend Liquimoly is Liquimoly.

Castrol is obviously approved by BMW.

The cheeseburger you ate yesterday isn’t want caused a heart attack today. The engine blew because it’s bearings had taken enough of a beating.
