    OEM replacement windshield parts guide

As part of my restoration I will be replacing the front windshield on my convertible. I’m going to order it locally through Westchester Ray Catena BMW. Which other parts would need replacing?

Would the moulding around the windshield need to be replaced as well ?

    Thanks.

That should be all you need, just did mine and had a new OEM moulding installed.

    Current:

    1997 BMW M3 - Boston Green/Modena
    2003 BMW M3 · Coupe · 6MT - Alpine White/M-Texture Alcantara

Curious how much the glass will run you from the dealer?

It’s kinda ironic but I’ll be getting the windshield from a friend who works at the BMW dealer and my friend who works at a Mercedes dealer is going to install it at work lol

You might as well change the cowl, if it was never been changed.

I'm curious, if the water get down through the old torn up cowl, where do the water go?

Thanks bro. I purchased one last summer from FCP. I paid a few $$$s more but the lifetime warranty can’t be beat.

There is a metal edge before it hits the engine firewall, so it drips down on the sides of the bay:

That is why those plastic pieces on the side of the cowl get so nasty with time, change them!
