Hey all. I have a couple questions related to depinning electrical connectors / terminals in our cars. I'm starting to get pretty far into the guts of my build and want to thin out some of the wiring. Or in some cases, I'll need to depin a connector / terminal to reroute wiring, or snake it through conduit or rubber boots (reference heinzboehmer's magic in his build thread here) . I'm also doing a CSL intake and trying to avoid those vampire connectors.
1. Does anyone have a suggestion on depinning tools? Is there a tool set that will cover most of the connector types on our cars? I don't know what I don't know, but I know there are lot of different connector types on our cars.
Examples:
2. Is there a good reference for what wires are in a pin location in a given connectors? i.e., DME related such as X60002 or X60003, engine bay waterproof connectors, interior connectors and so forth.
I have a Bentley Service Manual (paper and pdf) but it's hit or miss.
I found this site: http://www.fekzen.se/StandAlone/#MSS54 ...but not sure how trustworthy that is or isn't.
