The ITBs are a good product, even if quite unnecessary. Good for 5whp if you have every bolt on, from what I remember on m3forum. Better if you have headwork.

He took them off and sold them after the dyno, because of the results :P

Steve Dinan knows his stuff, but his focus was always working for race teams. He also sold the company a while back, and the only part of Steve Dinan left is the name on the door.

Dinan was trash then and it's even more trash now with Steve having been long gone.
It's great for the dude who's scared to mod and wants to brag factory warranty yada yada with his 2hp gains while claiming the insufferable term "oem+".2003.5 MT JB/B - CSL SCHRICK SUPERSPRINT EISENMANN JRZ SWIFT MILLWAY APR ENDLESS BBS/SSR DREXLER KMP SACHS RECARO AR SLON MKRS GSP DMG KARBONIUS CP AUTOSOLUTIONS KOYO

Interesting replies so far. Maybe I should convert this to a poll (not sure how?). I’ve had my car for a while and modified everything from brakes to suspension to exhaust and wheels. Dinan has never made the short list when making a mod decision, so I was curious where everyone else stands.Just some old shitty cars.

Be interesting what those would do with CSL intake, cams and custom tune.
I knew the machinist who use to do all their BBTBs.

He took them off later, as he decided the losses they caused at the low/middle range weren't worth the top end gain.

And this may be a silly question, but how did he get from 333hp to 371hp in the first place, and did that 38hp jump also come with losses at the low/midrange?

... and he went from 27Xrwhp to 376rwhp, not from 333
Edit:
Maybe I misunderstood your post. The TBs should be at their best when EVERYTHING else is already done, as that's when any restriction from the factory TBs will be at its greatest.
