    No heat-discolouration where the flywheel goes on.

      When I did my rod bearings, the oil pump gear was a similar shade of blue.

        Thank you both for posting these. This makes me feel a lot better! I didn't think there was anything wrong, per say, but it is a pretty brilliant blue on the crank. I'll get better pics.
