You definitely need to take the flex disc out to separate the driveshaft from the differential, which is why I got a replacement flex disc and had it done at the same time as the pinion seal.
You do not need to completely remove the driveshaft, AFAIK.
Don't forget to pre-load CSB when you gonna put it all back together.
What's the process here again? I just put a new CSB on, I scribed a line as to where the rear of the old unit resided and that is where the new CSB is.
Push 2mm foward on CSB while tightening the 2 bolts yes?

Correct. No particular distance really, just "pre-load" it and tighten the screws.
I'm under the impression that what ever method is used, the CSB needs to be unbolted, even if I'm only detaching the driveshaft from the diff?
If I was to remove the entire driveshaft (diff to flex disc) aside from pre-loading the CSB upon re-installation, is there anything else "special" about removing or installing the driveshaft I need to be aware of; lockrings etc?
