    tl;dr version
Are Eldor and BBT the same?

    long version
I ordered six Eldor coils from FCP, and they only sent one (in a very plain white box). They shipped the other five without any hassle, but they sent boxes marked as BBT.
Before I contact FCP, are the BBT coils the same as Eldor? Thanks

NGK is quality though I've not seen anyone run them.

FCP has the Eldors on sale for $22.59 each (usually $28.19)

Actually the Eldor coil number is R3516S00100 for our cars. I bought six and six NGK Laser Platinum DCPR8EKP.
Going to try to install all of them at 9AM after I get off work (night shift).
Been using partscontainer on eBay lately for the best prices and fastest shipping. Their customer service guy (if I need one) I deal with is Jason. Solid guy.

EDIT: Install was a huge success. Going to start a thread how great this combo works.

I'm going with the Eldor "273's" as well from FCP just because I like my spare parts and after reading reviews those also seemed like a great choice. I have no doubt the Delphi's or even Bosch coils would have been fine as well though.

Now I just need a spare motor or spare car, my OCD runs deep.

I am looking to buy a spare set as well, figured on Delphi or Bosch but for the same $ or less in some cases I see these new fangled Dinan "N Series".
I didnt spend a lot of time, but I could find nothing tangible about these except perhaps they are rebranded coils from the same vendor that supplies BAVAUTO. I would avoid them.
I was all set on Delphi until I found out in this thread about Eldor. I have decided to go with Eldor coils. Thank you to all who posted in my thread. Very helpful!

BMW Ignition Coils and Plug Connectors OEM ELDOR "NEWEST" VERSION 12138657273
fits our cars. I can get six for $155.99 just South of me in Miami from a vendor I have dealt with for years.
Glad I asked. I poked around and looks like Eldor seems to get the highest respect. Thanks everyone.

My uncle owns a bmw shop and tracks his f80 m3. He says eldor coils has given him most reliability.

I've been running the Delphi on cars without any known issue, but I suspect I'd say the same about the Bosch too.

    Coils: Delphi or Bosch? Other?

125K motor. Runs quite strong on the original coils. But they have been baked for 17 years here in South Florida. A new set, plus plugs does not break the bank. I figure I'll change them out pre-emptively and have six known good ones as spares.

So, New Delphi part number, old Bosch part number, or other choice?

I have been off the forums for quite a while. Apologies, since I know this must have been asked and answered. But I don't see any answers in my searches.
