I bought these this year from FCP. No issues and car runs great.Originally posted by bigjae46 View Post
It will fit. The same part was used across a lot of different platforms beginning 2003. LCI E46 330s changes to this coil.
Also made use of a screwdriver through the holes to pull out a stuck unit.
Installed plugs and coils sans lube and used an inch-lb torque wrench.

If coil won’t pull out by hand I just use a screw driver shaft thru the hole in the locking clip to pull it out.
Personally I prefer no dialectic grease but if you do put only a very thin coat inside the boot tip avoiding getting any on the end of the spark plug. Also reminder no anti seize on the plug threads!

Anyone using a special tool to remove the coils, if so, which one?
Dielectric Grease.. required, or go in raw?

I may need new coils... link to the NOS Eldor coils you speak of?Originally posted by BL92 View Postpart number for 273 ELDOR is NLA
I found NOS here in Australia if anyone still wants to run ELDOR from a BMW box
Is the ELDOR part number still the same ? or have they changed ?Last edited by WoGGo; 07-10-2026, 03:17 AM.

These are the best coils for E46 cars. Unfortunately the M3 can't use them. They were used on early cars.
