"Milkshake" oil in breather/oily smell when driving

I have noticed the smell of oil ever since installing my Karb airbox, especially when I really get on it. After running through the gears during a hard pull I notice the smell of oil when I come to a stop, sometimes it is almost enough to make my eyes water a bit witht the windows down.

According to the oil level sensor and CSL on board readings my oil level dropped ~.4L over 12months and 3,000 miles. According to my dipstick the oil level did not drop at all. May just be sensor inaccuracy there.

Tonight I noticed the smell of oil regardless of driving style and when I pulled the breather tube I saw the dreaded white milky oil one might see when you have a bad HG.

I very recently changed the oil and it showed no signs of water contamination and my last 2 oil analysis reports were stellar, still waiting on results from the most recent report.

One thing that has changed (and will not shown in my most recent oil report) is my fuel injectors were cleaned. The injectors at 70k were surprisingly bad, in some cases the spray pattern was listed as "dripping" or "poor" and the before/after flow went up ~45%.

I contacted Hassan, I remember him telling me he had to add fuel to match the airflow he was seeing, I have yet to log my AFR's.

I wonder if what I am seeing is fuel contamination as the oil in the breather tube seems to have a faint fuel smell.

Are you fully warming your car up every time you drive it? Moisture from the air can get into the oil and make it milkshakey if it doesn't get hot enough to boil the water off.

I do make sure to keep revs below 3.5k until oil reaches temp. I'll pull the plugs soon and see if I can't find anything, trying to think of what else I could look at without going too crazy pulling stuff apart.

Hopefully this was just a one time thing and not a big deal, don't want to think about pulling the head etc. going into summer..

Eh if the oil on the dipstick or underneath the fill cap isn't frothy, then the engine is probably fine.

But yeah, pull the plugs and check the oil separator while you're in there

Yea, the oil under the cap and on the dipstick are looking just fine, probably nothing, but a new thing nonetheless.

Pull all of the spark plugs and check to see if any of the electrodes are discolored (redish/brownish), and/or if the threads are rusty. Any white smoke from the exhaust after warm up? Pull the radiator cap (while vehicle is cold), and start it up to check for any bubbles.

No smoke, I'll pull the plugs/check for bubbles hopefully tonight.

Don't run the engine longer than 10 minutes with the coolant cap removed looking for bubbles.

FWIW my recent oil report (oil change <1 mo. ago) did not show signs of water/fuel contamination which is good but I will at least do the recommended items above.

Thats not to say my HG didn't pop 3 days ago, however lets hope that's not the case, if I had to pull the head you all would hear from me a bit more than you may like!

If the gasket popped then the first sight would be hard coolant hoses from combustion gas.
