    Rivnuts on Carbon Fiber?

Has anyone ever used rivnuts on carbon fiber? I have the BW CF splitter on the car and installing it is a PITA since there is a loose nut you need to secure on the top side of the edge of the bumper. Been considering just using a rivnut in that location but worried about it spinning.

What about using a well nut instead? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well_nut

Would have thought they would be strong enough for this application (they seem to be used by Subaru owners for the same purpose) and the design would reduce the concerns of spinning.

I think you would be good to go if you installed it with some epoxy.

I use pre bulbed rivnuts on carbon gives a larger contact patch to resist the rotation and splitting the carbon during install

If you're concerned that the rivnut will pull through, fit a washer on the backside when you install the rivnut. Preferably a wide fender washer if it will fit.
