    Best Wheel Re-Wraps these Days

I have my old M3 wheel I wanted to send out to get wrapped in black alcantara or similar. Coby? Anyone else have any recommendations/pics?

    Thanks!

Recently used Coby, very happy with the results.

2/10, would not recommend Coby if you want a quality finish. Alcantara joints are stitched in the wrong places (6 o’clock only), center strip looks like it was sewn over the alcantara, tri-color stitching is poorly done. The stitching is the worst part - super wide and inconsistent width compared to OE and quality aftermarket rewraps.

I do like my Coby leather rewrap but it is a little too fat for my liking since he wraps over the original leather instead of removing it. I also don't have huge hands so other people probably don't mind the added girth. Id say its a 7 or 8/10, not perfect but is 100x better then the extremely worn out original leather.

For about $65 you can order a kit online and DIY, likely won't be perfect, but neither are any of the rewraps that I have seen. I bought one of these for my Toyota, yes I realize its a different build quality, but it was easy enough to do so I figured I'd give it a go before I ordered one off eBay and was disappointed for $500+...

The best consistently has always been Tainik.

He's the only one that uses period correct stitching colors and his stitching is very consistent.

Everyone else uses the wrong colors at a minimum.

I found a wheel with 30k miles on ebay for $400 and sold mine with 120k miles for $200. So $200 all in and walked out with an 8.5/10 condition OEM wheel

My Coby leather wheel is much nicer than the diy re-wrap I did on my previous m3. I think definitely worth the $300.

I agree. I did a lot of research into this. I ended up buying a new OE wheel, but if I hadn't Tainik is who I would have gone with. From reviews I've read and photos I've seen, he's the way to go for a re-wrap.

I went with Coby leather and i am happy with it. Its an overwrap, so the wheel is thicker than stock and the way it attaches behind the horizontal spokes is noticable, but for the price and convenience, id give it a 8/10.

Is Tainik still around? It looks like his website is down and eBay account is inactive.

Tanik wheel on my E36 is holding up great after about 5 years. I have no gripes with that wheel at all.

Coby wheel on my E46 is new and pretty good, downsides being the stitching is definitely not as tight or clean, the red stripe is lower quality leather, and the place where the leather tucks in on the back side of the wheel is not flush.

Long story short.... I see why it's only $300
