How to fix stripped FCAB bolt threads on the chassis ?

I was replacing my FCABs and I noticed one of the bolts was tough to get out. Previous shop over torqued it and damaged the threads slightly. When I put the new FCAB on and went to tighten to 45 lbs the threads on the chassis of the body gave out completely and now the bolt loosely spins. I can’t get it to torque down anymore. The other bolt is torqued properly.

what’s the best way to fix the threads on the chassis for the FCAB bolt ? Rethread them? Any recommendations for a shop in SoCal that can do this ?

Guessing it is too dangerous to drive with one loose bolt…

I think it's perfectly safe to drive the car to be perfectly honest, like if you just needed to drive to a shop. There are still 12 other bolts holding it in.

I too would drive it to a shop, just be gentle.

Proper repair, IMO, would be with a timesert

Oh I was referring to one of the two bolts that mount the lolipop to the chassis.

Could try a tap I guess as a last ditch effort before bringing it anywhere, but I kind of doubt it will help if the threads are gone. I had to run one through the seat bolt holes in the chassis recently and it worked great .. but I had the opposite problem where the bolt wouldn't thread in.

I’ve done this before. Shop put a timesert in and it was fine afterwards.

I imagine that the twin dowel pins of the FCAB lollipop take at least some of the load, so I wouldn't worry about driving the car to a shop nor would I be worried about a timesert being a sufficient fix.

Bonus: You don't need to take the car to a BMW specific shop and pay M tax!

So turns out the issue is on both sides…..

on both sides the top bolt can not be tightened… it torques to about 10 lbs and then becomes loose…. I suspected they damaged both sides when installing the Rogue bushings I just took off. The bottom bolts torque properly and the lolipop is seated flat against the chassis. This is so weird.
