I was replacing my FCABs and I noticed one of the bolts was tough to get out. Previous shop over torqued it and damaged the threads slightly. When I put the new FCAB on and went to tighten to 45 lbs the threads on the chassis of the body gave out completely and now the bolt loosely spins. I can’t get it to torque down anymore. The other bolt is torqued properly.
what’s the best way to fix the threads on the chassis for the FCAB bolt ? Rethread them? Any recommendations for a shop in SoCal that can do this ?
Guessing it is too dangerous to drive with one loose bolt…
so upset now
