I received my Karbonius CSL airbox yesterday without any damage or issues. It’s refreshing to finally pay for an item then receive an item without any damage or issues. I had to pay duty tax on both items that I received. I believe that you pay duty tax when the declared value exceeds a certain amount. I can’t remember the amount right now.

First off, my original post was to another member, not you, which contained all true and genuine statements. Offering my condolences for a post by another member, is not wrong. Expressing my opinion that I would never do business with you, is not wrong.

Have some sense of decency and leave other members out of this conversation.

They don't align with the facts. There's nothing pedantic about correcting lies you spread to harm my reputation.

You say that it’s a grudge but it’s really not. It’s simply a bad experience with you and me sharing that experience with others. The problem is, that makes you butthurt since I share my negative experience and my thoughts of you with others. Sorry, that won’t change. This what happens when a customer has a bad experience with a business. This is no different than what any other business deals with.

If you're still talking about it irrationally a year later, it's by definition a grudge: a persistent feeling of ill will or resentment resulting from a past insult or injury.

I saw somewhere that you received a dented muffler. That’s supposed to make everything better? Don’t even begin to compare your situation to mine. You have a dent in your canister and another dent in one of your tips. Your issues are purely cosmetic. I can not bolt my muffler to my section 2 since the flange is damaged. My damage affects the function and use of the muffler. You can actually use your muffler, I can not. Don’t try to spin things as poetic irony.

Flanges and bent piping can easily be fixed. Find a competent local muffler shop and send Turner the bill. I'll still happily negotiate that for you if send me an email.

Don’t worry, life goes on. I am sure that you will continue to make more sales and I will go on to buy more items elsewhere. It sucks that we reached this point but I guess that’s life.

The total was in duty fees was $125.19 for the whole shipment which consisted of airbox, snokel, and carbon roof. So around 2.5-3%.

Looking at placing an order pretty soon in an attempt to get it before christmas despite the NZ exchange rate not really being in my favor. My plan is to get their oem style (not elephant trunk) and purchase the haimus matte black snorkel piece separately since I don't really like the karbonius carbon snorkel piece visually and it's 500euro. No idea whether the two pieces actually fit each other but hopefully I can make it work, I'll report back whether they fit or not once I do that. Long shot but has anyone done this already?

Undecided between going matte or gloss carbon though, that decision is largely what's holding up placing my order.

- Haimus Racing snorkel has shape improvements to create less disruptions in laminar flow allowing smoother air feed into the engine from the OEM counterpart. The OEM snorkel (PN: 11617833498) DOES NOT fit the Haimus Racing Airbox.

Good catch, I might have to reconsider in that case. I did message haimus and they claimed they have had customers use their snorkel on a karb before but couldn't guarantee anything.

Edit: Looking a bit closer I think the reason the haimus does not support the OEM snorkel is because it lacks the cutout on the unfiltered section for the OEM flap mechanism. So just because the haimus does not support the OEM snorkel and the karb does, does not necessarily mean the haimus snorkel doesn't fit the karb if that makes sense. I could easily be wrong though.

He also mentions that the early haimus boxes did have that cutout meaning they are likely the same dimension flange as karb since they originally fit the OEM snorkel unless they completely changed the flange design and bolt hole positions with their revision which seems unlikely. I think the actual flanges are close enough that I could make it fit and they are just two flat face pieces so the holes can be resized to fit as long as it's close. There will still be that small half circle gap between the snorkel and unfiltered section since the haimus snorkel is flat face mounted and doesn't have the same lip as the OEM/karb but I'm willing to live with that or find something to plug the hole.

The haimus snorkel is 180eur + shipping compared to the karb which is 500eur and like you say much more OE looking and I much prefer it visually. Expensive gamble if it doesn't fit though since I'll have to order a karb one separately and pay shipping twice...

True, if I can find someone in the Bay Area with a Haimus snorkel I can give it a shot and let you know. Unfortunately, everyone I know with CSL airboxes has Karb ones.

This is going in ASAP! I did get charged $59 in import duties. Work of art as usual for Karbonius. My 2018 box and OE flap will be for sale shortly for a good price.

It's so perfect I couldn't get over it compared to the evolve which already was high quality.

Forgot to confirm that this latest batch of Race boxes DONT have the oval hole underneath for csl ducting.
