Its a dark slate grey, look at the upper B pillar trim next to the passenger seat in pic 202, there you can see black next to the grey. They shot the pics in very low light.

I've long since made my peace that more people than me thought these cars were going to be special 20 or 25 years ago. But never did I expect them to be special enough not to drive. And maybe that's why people are selling all the would be garage baubles now...

When my brother bought a vacation home back in 2019 the owner was selling because he was 85 and needed to downsize. In the garage? An E46 3 series convertible in absolutely mint condition with roughly 5000 miles. He bought it when he was around 70. I think sometimes that's what happens. By them late in life, drive it to the grocery store and back.

The thing is more often times than not in those situations. Just like in that cars and bid ad... It's highly more probable that there's people out there that Make it their mission and seek out and stalk these low mileage cars from older people that just never drove them. Give them some SOB story that they're going to take care of it or it reminds them of a car they have when they were growing up and their dad had it. Blah blah something that really gets the owner to let go at a low price.....

Then they turning around and flip it around on cars and bids and BAT.

Yeah I noticed that... these make great 4th or 5th cars... which is what they are most of the time. But even being such I managed to put 30k on mine in the 15 years I've owned it. I just don't understand under 10k miles in 20 years. They're way too much fun for that.

That said, since I've bought mine I've noticed a lot of guys older than me buying them... BMW straight six M is what it is for a reason and everyone knows it... best and maybe last of a breed.

Interior looks rough for 80k miles... "not garage kept" is what I would say here.

Even the most hardcore M3 enthusiast would have gone and bought a fairly new GT3

Except for the ones who already have one or two, and want near delivery-miles Comp E92M in 2026.

While I generally agree, its hard to put miles if you have several cars. I don't drive much since I work from home. So I struggle to put miles on my cars cause I want to drive them all, and it ends up being spread out. Even if you drive 10-15k a year - but have 5 cars it ends up being 2-3k a year.

If it's basically a brand new e92, then I'd say it's a (whatever e92 msrp was then adjusted for inflation) $100k experience.

Because a well used, $20k e9x is not a brand new car experience.

Then the other $100k must be the premium to travel back in time to get this car so to speak.

Still crazy, but it's not a $20k car com'on 馃槅
