    Wiring Thinning--Stereo

I am looking for some confirmation on the steps that I need to take to remove the stereo harness. I have the carpet, seats, C pillars, and rear seat driver door cards removed at this point. Am I correct in that in order to remove the entire harness I will need to remove the drivers door panel and the entire dash to delete the stereo or is there a smarter way to do it. Thanks!

You don't have to take out the dash. The audio wiring is a separate wiring. Door panels, parcel shelf, lower trim and some other pieces need to be taken off to pull the wiring and remove the speakers. Its a bit of a pain but you can lift the front carpet in various spots to unclip and pull the wiring through.

The hardest part will be pulling the wiring from one side of the car to the other side since it goes under the dash. Make sure all of the wiring is already unclipped and free. Raise up the passenger and driver side front carpet and pull the wiring to the driver side, there is one clip under the dash, it will go by itself, just continue pulling. Feel where the wiring is going through and help it through by feeding it. You can pull the rear carpet to make the work a bit easier, I wouldn't touch the dash nor front carpet(you would need to cut it to get it removed without alot of disassembly)
