    Will the 135i Brembo Rear Caliper bolt right on?

    Will the 135i Brembo Rear Caliper bolt right on or do you need an adapter? 34206860146

    I believe for the rears you don't need a special bracket.

    All jobs done as diy - clutch, rod bearings, rear subframe rebush, vanos, headers, cooling, suspension, etc.

    PM for help in NorCal. Have a lot of specialty tools - vanos, pilot bearing puller, bushing press kit, valve adjustment, fcab, wheel bearing, engine support bar, etc.

      No, it won’t.

      You can make it work though if you install non-M trailing arms and eccentric bushings. I wanted to do this but have lost motivation. The only difference between M and Non-M arms are the mounting ears for the caliper. The bushings too, but those are interchangeable.

          You’ll need the bracket because they bolt down from the top. OE calipers bolt from the side

              any update on this? As I recently acquired all 4 corners from a 135i. Please keep us update OP =)

                They will bolt on, but the rear earing mounts are too tall, so the brake pad will not have a full swept area on the rotor. At some point I was so fixed on doing this mod that I looked at using E36M3 trailing arms, which have the correct earing height for the caliper to have the correct sweep. however, there maybe other nuances for the E-brake shoes, etc. that had me stop pushing for it.

                There was a company posting 3D scans of all different versions of the trailing arms, and the E36 M3 has the same pick up points as the E46M3, but is a bit sturdier in some areas, we can assume that BMW made some optimizations either for weight, or cost, of course the only difference being the earrings for the caliper mounts. if the e-brake shoes from the E36 M3 fir the E46M3 rotors, then all you need to do is source E36M3 trailing arms.

                  Thanks for the information, and after googling it from other forum, I believe this is the case you're talking about.

                  But is this going to be a reliability issue or just underutilizing the rotor capacity?

                    yes, that picture shows what the issue is. Now, i certainly would not run it like that ^^^, why would someone want to? it does not even look proper.
