Looking at the photos of some of the boxes, it's the packaging. It is loose in the box and there is no foam protection.

Yep. Luckily, mine arrived in perfect shape, but, I was pretty surprised at how they chose to package it. I was imagining it would come in some sort of contoured foam like SS parts do when they ship those. This is far more delicate a piece!

Hopefully yours doesn't fail later. But I can't help but wonder if this issue is due to the packaging or due to Turner using an inadequate adhesive to hold the ports on. If the reason is the latter then it's possible that the undamaged ports will fail after installation.

Received mine today.. I was in the lucky group not having a broken port (knock on wood it stays that way)..

Received mine today.. I was in the lucky group not having a broken port (knock on wood it stays that way).. Overall, the box looks amazing and will hopefully perform well on the race car.. Advantage of a race car?.. No need to worry about IATs, Map, etc.. Planning on installing at the track this weekend to have a comparison between boxes.

I talked with Sean this morning and I may be getting a refund as I told him I am simply looking to sell the box, he thought that might be a possibility.
He said that if they can't do a refund they will replace it with a new unit as soon as the next batch comes in, that was good to hear.
Sean also mentioned that they have re-evaluated their shipping methods on these and TMS is probably going to be using a spray foam type shipping material to match all the contours of the box as they are fully aware of the damages with the current packaging. They have realized the issue and are working to fix it, good on them.

So I listed it as is in the for sale section but I will def. be calling Turner to see if I can't just get my $ back. If anyone knows the group buy order # and could shoot me a PM that would be awesome, I did email Leighton.

Yea, I called Turner and they need an order # so I contacted Leighton for that. If anyone does want it for the GB price and doesn't mind having the glue this in contact me. I'll be contacting the people in line buy the box first to see if they are interested in this now or are willing to wait for one that isn't messed up.

That sucks man.
Same thing was happening with the Streamline airbox back when they first were coming out and they upgraded to a stronger glue. I’m guessing “you get what you pay for”. Pretty disappointing since I know you’re trying to get rid of it ASAP.
