Can we get some details on the 911?

Also following to see if there's any seller's remorse down the line. I don't suspect there will be (much)

964 looks like? I think I’d make that swap too for a street car. I have more fun in slower cars with lower limits. About to pick up an NA Miata this weekend for that reason (addition to the collection though, not replacing anything).

I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on the air-cooled vs your E46 if you feel like typing them up

Looks like a CIS motor G-Body. Super jealous - I recently helped a friend get his 1986 Carrera 3.2 back on the road after 5 years of sitting, and it's such a sweet car to drive. I've been lusting after one ever since!

If that’s an aircooled all bets are off, and congrats! A classic is a classic for a reason — a completely different experience, not comparable.

Looks like an SC to me, can't remember when they used the steel vs plastic injector lines. Congrats! Grand prix white? Looks in good shape - we need more pics.

Also, going to need some videos of how that carbon airbox sounds like

So it’s a 1983 911SC. 3.0L flat six. I can’t compare it to the M3 in the sense that they are two totally different cars. I love both equally, and each one gives you a totally different driving experience. The 911 is raw, mechanical, a workout to drive (no power steering) & quirky. Power wise on paper it’s only listed as 180hp, but it is torquey and loves to be revved to redline. coming from someone who likes driving older cars, this seemed like the better car for me

This particular one is not pristine like the m3 was, has had a respray (not a particularly great one) but mechanically sound…. this is exactly what i was looking for. I built my m3 to a point where i was afraid to drive it or park it anywhere. I forgot what it was like to enjoy and experience a car.

I’ll post more pics (not sure why it’s not showing up). Airbox is purely cosmetic. Plans for it is just to fix the small issues it has, swap out all the window and door seals, and just enjoy it!

And how it sits today. Have a ton of other parts to go into it, but too cold to wrench outside

And stopped by Rogue today and the M3 is getting the royal treatment. New coilovers and suspension, recaro sportsters going in, Rogue engineering wheels (love the look and the pics don’t do it any justice), rods and Vanos done with titanium hardware.

                        Womp womp.

Good luck with the new car!

I'm at 18 years with this e46 M3, but it wasn't the first one I bought...

Porsche looks nice in the color combo even if it isn’t fast. Enjoy!

antknee if you’re ever on here anymore I’m curious about your thoughts on the car now that it’s been a little while! Been thinking more and more about a 911SC or 3.2 myself but can’t find one to drive.
