a failed damper isn't going to cause a drop like that, the spring will hold up the weight without any damper

They are about 3 years old but have less than 15k miles on them. I think there might be an issue with the threads not holding up anymore so I'll take them out again and reinspect.

I also plan on calling KW on Monday and see what they say. I'll keep everyone posted.

So I took them off to inspect more closely and quite honestly they seem fine to me. KW advised me to send the pictures to them as well. The groves seem fine so I'm still not sure why the car doesn't stay up. Maybe I'm missing something ? Is there a locking mechanism on these coilovers that you have to set once you position them ? I didn't think so but maybe I'm missing something.

Let me know what you guys think. Both perch and adjuster seem fine. I also can't seem to get the perch out anymore. Do I have to take a mallet and hammer it out? I tried very hard but seems to be stuck on there.

Are you missing the black rubber spring pad in that last pic? Are both sides with out the rubber pad?

I have the rubber at the bottom of the spring. Thought it was supposed to be only at the bottom and not at the top right ?

My bad, I think you may be right. I installed mine a while ago and I don't remember 100%.

Usually, there's a locking ring. GC uses a pinch bolt style.

It's hard for me to believe, however, that the purple perch, or perch + spring, are really spinning enough rotations to go upwards an appreciable amount.

I can't see a scenario where those are lowering themselves, spring pad or not, those threads look fine from here. Has this question been addressed yet... When you pull the spring, has the perch moved from where you set it?

I posted a video of the front above (deleted as I forgot OP was working on the rear) for KW adjustment. I had v2s a long time ago but I can't remember if that purple rear ride height adjuster has a lock nut. Do you know? Seems like it should.

toy4to posted a pic above with no locking ring. I'm surprised. Still, under weight, I don't see how the perch alone, or with the spring (and spring popped onto bottom spring pad) could rotate much at all, let alone enough to lower the car appreciably. Something else is up.

There is no set screw for the rear. If it's completely stripped and dropping after full weight is reapplied, this should be extremely obvious to OP that is the issue.

That question still hasn't been answered OP...

I do agree that with the weight resting on the rear adjuster it really shouldn't move (particularly since the adjuster has to move upwards).

Conundrum because if OP's statement about a height difference of one inch is correct then that isn't something that shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. Massive difference and if it isn't a case of the height adjuster moving then something is definitely broke or the spring is toast.

When you set the car down, is the purple spring perch at the same place you left it?
