They turned out great. Thanks for sharing the pics and the website. But did they clearcoat with paint or use clear powder coat? Thanks...

I think it’s powder coat and then cleared.

Mine took about 10 days as they said it was pretty difficult cutting them on the machine perfectly.

              I did mine myself.
Sanded of the clear coat, sanded in steps with sandpaper from grain 80 to 3000.
Then pollisht them, then i took them to work (work @ bmw dealer) and got them clear coated in the body shop.
              Took +/-7h per wheel.

Did you just sand any curb rash flat?

This is the process I thought any wheel shop should be able to do, but what I kept hearing is strip, paint the inside, polish then clear — which seemed like a good excuse to charge more money to me. At $400 a wheel it was a hard pass, but at $200/$250 we’ll see.

My turn around was 14 days. Usually shorter but they took them back to fix a couple runs in the clear.

                      2025 Update:

Recently picked up a pristine, garage-kept E46 M3 convertible. The car had been dealer-maintained its entire life, but the wheels? Absolutely trashed with curb rash. Living in Northern California, there’s only one place to go, Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara. These guys are magicians. No affiliation.

24-hour turnaround. Full machine shop. This is all they do, all day, every day. They refinished the windowing (the grey powder coat between the spokes), restored the surface to that factory-machined look, and sealed it all with a fresh clear coat. Check the attached photos, but honestly, they look like they just rolled off the factory floor.

Pricing? $200 per 19-inch wheel (varies depending on the work needed). Both of my front wheels were out of round, they straightened them for just $20 extra per wheel. But here’s the best part: if you’re a local shop and remove the tires, they’ll pick up, refinish, and drop them back off within 48 hours.

Service like this? Turnaround like this? I’m speechless. I haven’t seen this level of craftsmanship, backed by real customer service, with an actual human on the other end of the phone since the 90s.

Looks great, I wish I was local. Mine need refinished, and rears are NLA.

Thanks for sharing. I'd love to get mine done too, but the problem with these wheels is the high level of suck they are to clean.

I don’t anticipate it, but If anyone has a clean set of 19” style 67’s let me know!

Most who have them are trying to do what OP did.

But there are plenty in this crowd who think they're too heavy, ruin ride quality, etc., so you might get lucky.
