ah good to know, thanks.Originally posted by bmwfnatic View Post
Wouldn’t have made a difference, you get the same thing, we concluded that in another thread on this forum.
so with that said then, buy the NRF and just be gentle with it. a sheet of cardboard would help during assembly.

I've had a hard time sourcing a KOYO because no one will ship to Bahrain. My Normal distributors do not carry Koyo. Im going to email them directly but right now im also entertaining an NRF one LOLOriginally posted by skylinekin View PostI’ll add another plug for the koyo aluminum radiator, perfect fitment very nice quality at a reasonable price.

It's a shame that the DO88 radiator doesn't work with the OEM pipe connectors. I'm sure it is excellent, if their oil cooler is anything to go by.Originally posted by uberchris View PostBumping an old thread with some new info. I recently started a cooling system refresh after seeing higher than usual temperatures on track. After disassembly, I'm fairly sure the issue was the old, corroded, and clogged AC condenser. But I went forward with the refresh anyways.
After reading this thread, I ordered the Modine marked OE from FCP Euro. I received an NRF box, with what I feel to be a marginally worse than OE part inside. Specifically, the NRF radiator:- uses a different type of plastic than the genuine BMW unit, that feels poorly casted and cheaper
- is noticeably lighter overall (I made sure the original radiator was completely empty before making the comparison)
- is a few mm thinner
- has a metal fan bracket attached with pop rivets as opposed to the plastic
- came with several bent fins (though otherwise appears to be brand new)

That's what I ended up going with. Bummer that it doesn't use the original connectors, but it's so well built that I can look past that.Originally posted by ac427 View Post

Im still holding on to see what i decide, if someone gets back to me from Koyo, which they have Not, i'll just go with them if they ship to my forwarder in Florida.

The only thing that bothers me about their radiator is the TRIPLE PASS design, seeing how we had issues with a CSF and many other have had as well......Also that it doesnt use the original hoses.Originally posted by ac427 View Post

I should email them and ask them if they would make a version that uses the factory hoses.....

NRF are now the genuine radiator. Modine no longer makes radiators except for commercials vehicles and now expansion into data center cooling.Originally posted by 0-60motorsports View PostSo we all still going for the NRF after the Genuine one? I need to order one.
Fluidyne has all new redesigned radiators for our cars.

Again the problem with fluidline is its a triple pass.........Im still leaning towards Koyo or NRF at the moment....Originally posted by Cronenberged View Post

Wouldnt bleed at all or easily no matter what we tried. Since then i always tell people NO if they say they want me to get them CSF.Originally posted by ac427 View PostIs triple pass always a disadvantage or is it just the way that Fluidyne and CSF do it?
Everyone seems to love the DO88 radiator and i.believe that is a triple pass radiator.
What was the issue with the other triple pass radiators?
That is why i am curious to try the koyo as its dual pass like the original one
