V2 Diff rebuild + Gear Ratio Swap (4.10)

    I have a stock diff currently being rebuilt, when I pull the 4.10 out I'll take some photos. May be a few weeks however. FWIW is hear no whine with my diff and I have removed all sound deading from under the rear seat/soild SF bushes.

      I think a little bit of whine is normal.

      A buddy has a Turner built 4.10 (assuming it is a diffsonline) whines...has been whining for 14 years. Long story but we swapped in a V2 unit and then a ZF...ring gear and pinion looked immaculate. Drove another car with a Dinan 3.91 which whined. I'm pretty sure both cars have OEM bushings.

      I've had a 3.73 and a 3.91, both REM polished. I can't detect a whine even from in-car footage but my car is quite loud too.
