Euro O2 sensor harness -- what sensors?

I'm about to buy a Euro-spec O2 sensor harness to go with my Supersprint exhaust install. From the search results on this forum, it looks like the Euro harness requires different sensors compared to the American harness. Can anyone confirm this, and better yet, tell me which sensors I need?

11781405324 and 11787832035 are the proper sensors for the euro harness.

If you can’t find them in the US, I have plenty of them, 40 a piece + shipping.

If the shipping is reasonable $40 is a bargain for an OE sensor. You can get the universal Bosh four wire for about $40, but it will not include the appropriate connector.
      Old, not obsolete.

For those of us looking to install euro headers/section 1, is this a cleaner way to do the install? Hadn't heard much about euro 02 sensors or a harness.

My guess is these are used Euro sensors since he mentioned in another thread that he had a few used euro headers and cats available.

New, they are about $80+ with the correct connector.

Just curious what installation you are looking to achieve? US spec wiring can be re-routed and OE(M) NA sensors can be used if you are running section 1 cats. I have the full SSV1 set with cats, and that is what I did no problem.

^ This, run the wires down the driver's side of the transmission.

As I understand it, the American harness needs to be slightly modified in order to get the downstream sensors to reach the postcat bungs. It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but I’d rather not do that.

I run no post-cat sensors, coded out. Easiest to reverse with no hassle.

If the price of the Euro harness is not an issue, then it along with the Euro rear sensors and cable guides (14 and 15 in the linked illustration) should get you there. BMW has started making it difficult to get Euro only parts from US dealers, so I ended up getting the cable guides from the UK via eBay.

This is great, thank you. Are the front/precat sensors the same as the US versions?

All four of the sensors themselves are identical. It is only the connectors and cable lengths that differ.

The shorter of the two front sensors is long enough to work, but not long enough to fit properly in the cable guides with a safe amount of slack. I ended up using two of the longer front sensors and swapping the connector from the shorter of my old sensors onto one of the new ones.

Also keep in mind that the SS headers have more than one O2 bung in each header. I don't recall which bungs I ended up using, but you should trial fit in each to find the best fit.

You may want to have a look at this thread as well:

I have just installed a set of SS V1's, SS catted section one and the SS resonated dual pipe section two. I see that some folks delete the SAP, the cold start sequence and cat protection when installing headers and performance cats. I have also read that the EGT can be tweaked to suit the SS cats. Is any of this strictly
