I since plan on picking up a cabin air filter housing unit and a rear carbon shelf (depending on weigh savings) from you. I may even pick up a CSL rear diffuser as I am having second thoughts on installing my OEM CSL diffuser.

Any idea on the timeframe it would take to develop rear seat delete in CF with JC / GT4 Composite?

Also what price point they would be sold at?
Problem is I can't ask JC to make tons of new molds when actual parts doesn't sell... We haven't sold a lot of parts in the last 3-4 months. I have CSL bumper, diffusers, cabin filter housings, rear deck shelf ready to ship but everybody seems on hold with unstable economic these days...

I asked JC to make small parts that aren't complex. Next on the list are rear trunk floor panel in CF, 1-piece front lip for CSL bumper. And if we do some sells he will start the more complex CSL trunk.

Hard Motorsport fitment issues aside, something like this would be ideal. There should still be a weight benefit over rear seats even if it was wrapped and insulated.

I’ve always wanted to CAD a design like this up but never got around to it. Maybe this year…

I had some aluminum sheet metal cut into panels, slapped some butyl sound deadening on, wrapped them in some black cloth, and installed them with a foam seating panel I DIY'd myself years ago when the old forum was still around:

I think it came out clean. All the panels+sound deadening, including the foam seating part, all weighed in at about 20 lbs.

My issue is the side bolsters - which I haven't installed yet. I've actually since took everything off because the unfinished look started to bother me. I have a bolt-in half cage so I need to find someone to cut into the stock side bolsters so it fits around the bar. However I also want to wrap it in the same cloth as the rest of the RSD so it all matches up.

I made my own that looks exactly the same as stock and keeps the foam for NVH reasons. Saved roughly 26 lbs: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...348#post284348

Very flimsy and very unsafe, but light!

I know its not exactly what OP wanted but to help collate all the available market options here given Hard Motorsport has already been covered, there is also the Turtle Labs RSD:

BMW E46 Rear Seat Delete Firewall Panel – Turtle Laboratories

When I was researching all I found was Street Faction (which appears to be discontinued?), Hard Motorsport, Turtle Labs (link above) and then the CF structural wall. I went with Street Faction as it had the bench seat part as well so completed the look, still working on modifying my rear door cards and seat bolster to try make it all tie in aesthetically given my car is still dual duty.

Considering the lack of information and options, all information is good information. Thanks
